The Eugene Gleemen, the longest continuously operating choral organization in Oregon, will begin its 86th season in September.  The Gleemen will begin rehearsing for its fall concert on Tuesday, September 14 at 7:00pm in the First Christian Church Grace Chapel.  No auditions are required but some singing experience is desired.  The group, under the direction of John Jantzi, is inviting male voice repertoires.

Officially founded in 1926, the Gleemen have been on the Eugene-Springfield arts scene performing fall, winter and spring concerts, singing holiday music at area retirement and assisted living facilities, and making appearances at the Lane County Fair, Emeralds baseball games, private functions, and in surrounding communitities.  Members regularly participate in service activities in their home communitities including such causes as clothing drives for the homeless and singing in Eugene Opera Chorus productions.

        You will enjoy live entertainment from Chamber Music Amici and the Actors Cabaret of Eugene, with opening comments from our keynote speaker, Fred Crafts - the City of Eugene's "Ambassador for the Arts".

        Tickets to attend this meeting can be purchased at the Eugene Chamber office or at any Eugene Greeters meeting. Tickets are not available online. The cost to attend is $10 - cash or check only please, Greeters are not set up to run credit cards at this time.

        Doors open at 6:30&amp;nbsp;a.m. and the breakfast buffet opens at 7:00 a.m.. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.
